Dear Program Directors and Staff:
Goodwin Associates - Link coordinates and provides training opportunities and college classes at or near your childcare center. They include:
- Undergraduate / Graduate Touro College Courses
All classes are three (3) college credits, include forty (40) hours of instruction in the field of early childhood education and related courses (see course offering pages)
- CDA
A very important credential for classroom aides and assistants - our CDA program can either be 120 hours of early childhood training or three specific college courses where you earn a total of nice (9) college credits. Mentoring is also provided to facilitate timely completion of all CDA requirements.
- Workshops
Staff development workshops focus on a wide range of early childhood and after-school program topics. (see sample workshop offerings page.)
You can self pay for training ($1,000.00 per college course) or, if eligible, apply for available partial or full scholarships. Scholarship funding to participate in this training may be available through the New York Educational Incentive Program (EIP). For more information, visit www.tsg.suny.edu. Training participants are responsible in full for all fees not covered by scholarships and must abide by the rules and requirements of all scholarship programs.
